The National Association of Primary Care (NAPC) commissioned HGS Consultancy to produce a Practice Based Commissioning (PBC) toolkit as a training aid to help General Practice in 2008. The NAPC wanted to maximise the publicity of the toolkit and asked CMPMedica, publishers of Pulse and Practical Commissioning, if they would like to work in partnership to publicise the toolkit and run a series of events.
Pulse, working with HGS, NAPC and Department of Health, have produced a seminar training programme. The training programme has been designed to meet local needs in each SHA region in England: basic principles and advanced delivery. Each one day event will be staged in the ten SHA regions in England: London, West Midlands, East Midlands, Yorkshire and Humberside, South Central, North East, North West, South East, South West and East of England
CMPMedica approached TEVA UK Limited who agreed to be joint sponsors with the Department of Health. This means that 500 places 50 per event could be made available the reduced fee of £85 plus VAT from the full cost of £165 plus VAT. All Tickets will be delivered by TEVA UK limited but Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) are not under any obligation to see a representative. After the deadline, or when the free tickets have been allocated, a further 50 tickets per day will be available at £165 per delegate.
